Practicing
Now, I know practicing isn't always the most fun thing to do. And getting someone else to practice is even lesson fun. But (perfect) and consistent practice makes perfect! I believe in having a practice schedule. Set a time that you can almost always practice, and stick to it! Things happen, and sometimes there isn't time. I understand, I've been there. Here are some suggested practice times depending on age.
5-8: At least 20 minutes a day, no lesson than 4 times a week. 5 times a week is better.
9-12: 30 minutes a day is a wonderful habit to create. However, at a minimum I would say at least 30 minutes 5 times a week.
13+ 45-60 minutes a day, at least five times a week.
For older students (students with emplyment) One should always remember, you get out what you put in. So invest some practicing time and you will see results. Things get in the way, you have work, or school, or both. But setting a consistent practicing time will do wonders!

Materials
I do ask that students bring a notebook and pencil to lessons. This is for the benefit of both the student as well as myself. We'll need the notebook to write down assignments, notes, and activities.
All students are allowed, and encouraged, to bring something with which to record the lesson.

Ready, set ,go!
Finally, I ask that students come in ready to learn, or at least ready to begin the lesson.

2. Please arrive on time! Again, things happen, so just give me a call or text if you are running late.
