-Jazz
-Rock
-Celtic
I also teach students who would like to play by ear. This involves a fair amount of theory, but not nearly so much sight reading. Below is an example of my playing.

Irish (concert) Flute
I've played the concert flute a little longer than the modern (Boehm) flute. Here are the styles that I teach:
-Traditional Irish
-"Celtic"
I teach Irish music by ear, or by sheet music. Teaching by ear is the most traditional, so I do push to get away from sheet music as soon as possible. But sheet music is helpful for the getting the skeleton of a tune, as long as listening to recorded, or live, examples is also a part of the process. Below are some examples of my playing.

Baroque Flute
I also teach Baroque flute, which is very similar to the Irish flute shown above. This flute was used during the Baroque period (1600-1750). Click the link below to hear an example of my playing.

Tin Whistle
These are also known as the pennywhistle, and the Irish whistle. I received my first tin whistle for my eighth birthday. I didn't start to seriously learn the whistle until middle school however, when I first heard a recording of the Chieftains. Here are the styles I play and teach.
